Thanks to a beautiful tutorial found in makeitawonderfullife.blogspot.com I started teaching kids how to weave on CDs. They are very happy with the project and I hope next week I can show the finished works.

I know It´s been a while but my job as an art teacher has been very demanding. I also started working with kids from a very poor neighborhood in Bogotá and it´s been amazing, I feel very creative right now.

I did this  simple bubble wands with wire and spare buttons and we had a great time with the children. This activity was a cool way to end the water cycle lesson.

Ha pasado un tiempo desde que no publico pero mi trabajo como profesora me ha tenido muy ocupada. Empecé a trabajar con niños de bajos recursos de un barrio muy pobre de Bogotá y la experiencia hasta ahora ha sido muy gratificante, me siento llena de creatividad.

Hice estas varitas para hacer burbujas con alambre y algunos botones y los niños disfrutaron mucho la actividad. Después de aprender sobre el ciclo del agua las burbujas fueron una buena forma de cerrar la lección de manera divertida.

I read this book when I was at school, and I felt I wanted to read it again now. I think is beautiful and that it catches your attention doesn´t matter how old you are. I did this illustration thinking about the book and the upcoming christmas.
